Our roots date back to 1993, and we continue to grow and innovate into the future.

Since 1993, Tutor Electrical Service, Inc. has continued to grow. Not only have we expanded from a single truck and pager into a trusted electrical contractor with a dedicated team, but we’ve also built lasting relationships with homeowners, businesses, hospitals, and industry partners.

Along the way, we’ve invested in apprenticeships, supported workforce development, and taken on leadership roles at the local and national level.

Through challenges from economic downturns to the pandemic, we’ve stayed grounded in our core values of honesty, integrity, and dependability.

Today, with TutorVision 2035 as our guide, we remain focused on innovation, workforce development, community leadership, and sustainable growth.

Founding Years (1993–2000)

In 1993, Bobby launched Tutor Electrical Service, Inc. with a single truck, a pager, and determination. Six months later, Diana joined him, bringing her business expertise and helping build the operational backbone of the company. From those early days in Arlington, they developed a reputation for reliability, serving homeowners, property managers, and organizations such as Methodist Hospital of Dallas.

2000

Tutor Electrical Service, Inc. relocated to Mansfield, TX, expanding its team and capabilities. Tutor Electrical Service became deeply involved in workforce development, sponsoring apprentices and supporting the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC).

2007

Tutor Electrical Service, Inc. had grown to 25 employees and weathered the challenges of the 2008 recession with resilience.

2012

Bobby was elected National President of IEC, reflecting his commitment to industry leadership and training.

2015

Tutor Electrical Service, Inc. moved into its new facility on FM1187, marking a new era of growth.

2020

Tutor Electrical Service, Inc. faced challenges—from staffing missteps to the global pandemic—but the company relied on its core values of honesty, integrity, and dependability to rebuild and move forward stronger.

2022

Tutor Electrical Service, Inc. had renewed its focus, strengthening customer relationships, workforce capabilities, and leadership.
